Bienvenue à Terre-Neuve!

Notre voyage à bord du FRAM sur la route des Vikings se poursuit. Après l'Islande que nous avons quittée le 26 septembre, nous avons mis le cap sur l'est et le sud du Groenland.

Une météo superbe nous accompagne depuis une semaine et nous avons visité deux villages: d'abord Appillatoq dans le Prinz Christian Sund, une communauté de 130 habitants, vivants chichement -mais manifestement heureux- d'un peu de pêche et de chasse.

SAILING THE LABRADOR SEA!

Yep, time slips away! My last post was from Iceland, and in the mean time we cruised south-east Greenland and now we are on our way to Canada.

East-Greenland was terrific: great weather -yes, its the end of september and its warm and sunny, although we saw some fresh sea ice in the evening - we met nice people in remote settlements like Apilatoq in the Prinz Christian Sund. 130 or so Greenlanders leave here, doing some fishing activities and seal hunting. Other than that there is a school, a church and the typical supermarket.
