Since the opening in june the BRIC welcomed 2000+ visitors from all over the world: Australia, New-Zeeland, USA, Canada, Europe and even Indonesia! The BRIC has three goals: EDUCATION, CONSERVATION and RESEARCH. Educating poeple living and travelling in bear country, in order to avoid deadly (for both humans and bears) encounters. Protecting the ecosystems that sustains the bears: mainly the forests and streams supporting salmons. Starting a research program on bear populations, in order to get accurate population numbers. |
